XPSDocumentViewer
A subset of UXDocumentViewer, XPSDocumentViewer offers an extended viewing feature
– conforming to XML Paper Specification (XPS). It shares the same features as UXDocumentViewer
but adds additional innovations text searching and highlighting, copy to clipboard,
background loading, and more.
The control is designed for both developer and end-users alike. Developers can simply
drag-drop an instance to the designer surface and point it to the document’s URI.
End-users have the freedom to open any XPS document on the local hard drive.
Neither does XPSDocumentViewer stint on navigation as it has two navigation modes.
The thumbnail mode offers visual preview of all pages, while outline mode lists
the table of contents created according to XPS specification. Even better, XPSDocumentViewer
also recognizes any in-document table of contents.
XPSDocumentViewer’s seamless efficiency stems from its load-on-demand and background
loading processing. Load-on-demand prioritizes page rendering based on its viewport
while the rest of the document loads on demand when users navigate to a new page.
This innovative background loading leverages idle time to preload data and pause
when a user interacts with the application. Learn more
